Overview

Ever have a very mismatched combination of foods in your pantry or fridge, and its not yet quite time to go grocery shopping, but you struggle to figure out what to cook for dinner with the ingredients that you do have on hand ? Mother Hen was designed and developed to help with just that !

The idea for this app was conceived with my mom in my mind, but my goal was to facilitate any user who cooks daily and protect them from running out of meal ideas.

User Interviews

As this was a short passion project that I wanted to rapidly design and iterate through, I narrowed down the scope of the potential user base to primarily my mom and other moms who cook meals for their families on a daily basis. In order to understand user needs and specific pain points that moms encounter when meal prepping, I conducted a user interview with my mom to find answers to integral questions such as —
